Saving money is like ants stacking food for the rainy days. Everything has its ups and down so, we should all be ready to accept and combat our rainy days. Now, some of us may have several credit cards. When was the last time you have checked on the interest rate on each of your credit cards? To save some money, we need to check which is your most needed, which ones are not needed. We should consider whether you can do without all the other credit cards. Besides, it is going to help you cut down on your expenses.

Although food is a basic need. Lavish food is not a necessity. Instead of going out three times a week, why don’t you try to cut back to once a week? Or once a week, try to cook for you and your family, I’m sure the kids will enjoy more time with you. You could also save some of your kids’ expenses by having them at home.

Now, clothes. Designer items are expensive for so many reasons. But you can try to look as good in clothes that are not branded. You just have to be more patient in finding clothes that are similar to the look that you want. You may want to look at tag sales. But if you really prefer branded clothes, you may want to check garage sales. Being fashionable cannot just be the clothes.

Shelter, you can try using that extra room to have some money. Or if you are rarely at home, you may opt for an apartment instead of a condo. Or you may want to look for a smaller place. Don’t forget to garage sale some stuff that you can’t bring to your new place. You may also want to reconsider your cable or internet packages.
